A couple of weeks ago, my friend, Diane, said to me, “Hey, you haven’t posted a blog entry in a long time. You really should get that going again. Why do you insist on being such a disorganized underachiever?” (Okay, she didn’t really say that last part. That was my own self-indicting editorial.) To be honest, I’ve been busy. To be completely honest, that’s really no excuse. I’m happy to report that business was brisk in 2015, but I haven’t been so busy that I can’t throw a few words together once a week.
What I’ve been most occupied with, recently, is a project for an organization that Diane works with: The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). This is an annual, live event that I’ve worked on for the past nine years. It’s an interesting industry and a fun project, and it kept me very busy for the past five months. However, that event just wrapped up in Orlando, so no more excuses! Because I promised Diane that I would, and because the number of patient and tolerant subscribers to my blog is approaching nearly half of one hundred, I will take her suggestion to heart and embrace an early New Year’s Resolution by committing to a more responsible and regular posting regimen in 2016.
To get things reignited, here’s one of the many videos we built for IAAPA. It’s a collection of some of the top amusement park rides launched in 2015. Unfortunately, I did not get to travel the world shooting roller coasters. These were all sent in by the parks, but it was still fun putting it all together.
Bonus: For the music track, we used a nifty little pop tune by Sheppard called, “Geronimo.” Enjoy!…
